Over the course of my personal growth journey, I’ve had some real revelations about myself. One of the biggest lessons? Gratitude. It’s truly been a game-changer, reshaping how I view the world and bringing immense joy into my life.

I’m Julia, an Independent contractor and cosmetologist since 2009.

“My chair is where Fashion meets Function!”

Trained at the prestigious International Academy of Cosmetology in Daytona Beach, I still value ongoing education and enjoy taking industry classes and attending hair shows.

I work with the Italian professional color brand Affinage which has the lowest ammonia content in the industry, and Affinage’s supporting product lines Mode, and Kitoko which is over 90% naturally derived.

I specialize in all hair coloring and all precision hair-cutting techniques. I tailor all of my haircuts to my guest’s hairline shape, head shape, hair texture, consider their individual growth patterns, and previous personal experiences with their hair.

My goal is to effectively communicate with and listen to my clients to tailor the end result to the guest’s desires, and marry their unique look with their unique personal maintenance routine.

My favorite feeling behind the chair is when I know that a client feels fantastic after a service well performed!

Hi, my name is Karen. I started my career in the hair industry the day after I graduated “Beauty School”… I was 27. I was hired on the spot, and the rest is history.

For almost 40 years I have honed my skills of being a stylist. I have met so many interesting people, giving them my attention with precision haircuts, colors, perms, and so much more. Always with great skill, good conversation, and a smile.

In 2020 when COVID hit, the salon I had been working in for over 22 years had to close. I thought to myself… what now? I tried a few different salons but was looking for something special. Then I met Pamela Smith.

I arrived at ROOT 108 last April 1st. I knew right away the “Vibe” suited my personality. I work with a great bunch of ladies who work together in harmony…with no drama. I’m going to stay put ’til I’m done with hair.

I have a very faithful clientele, but will always welcome new folks. Service always with a smile.

Hi, I’m Ande and I have been doing hair for 5 amazing years now!

I am a colorist! My specialties are balayage, foiling, and all dimensional colors. I love the artistic freedom of balayage. In addition, I also offer all cutting and color services!

What’s unique about what I do is I customize each color and the technique used to fit the client’s wants and needs. My colors are very “lived in” and I’m able to make a huge transformation still look natural.

I think we have one of the coolest jobs out there! When I’m behind the chair I feel calm and happy to be doing what I love.

My goal is for all of my clients to leave feeling lighter! I love the chance to make everyone feel heard and appreciated while making their hair goals come to life. I know for many, sitting in my chair is the only self-care and relaxation time they have so I always hope to make the most of it.
